Deri Washington is the CEO and Principal Designer of Tranquil Designs LLC, a full-service residential and commercial interior design and design-build firm. An experienced and imaginative designer, Deri leads with a strong emphasis on service, excellence, and intentional design.
She earned her interior design degree from Ashworth College in Norcross, Georgia, and in 2009, alongside her husband Alexander Washington, founded Tranquil Designs, LLC. Since its inception, the company has become known for its professionalism, attention to detail, and client-centered approach.
Deri is recognized for her ability to interpret vision, understand lifestyle, and translate both into thoughtfully designed spaces. Her work is rooted in the belief that transforming a space has the power to transform a life—not just aesthetically, but emotionally and functionally as well.
Beyond design, Deri and Alexander share a deep commitment to community impact and service. Tranquil Designs operates with a giving-back initiative embedded into the business model, supporting nonprofit organizations annually within the community. In 2015, Deri’s dedication to service was formally recognized with a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Community Contributions from the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Poconos.

ANTONIO ELIJAH MALONE

Antonio Elijah Malone is a contractor and the founder of Tranquil Design Builders LLC a company specializing in residential and commercial construction projects. Despite being relatively new to the industry, Antonio has quickly demonstrated his leadership abilities and entrepreneurial spirit. He founded Tranquil Design Builders LLC with a vision to innovate and provide exceptional services/products to clients.
Antonio has a hands-on approach to business, learning directly from his experiences and the challenges of the industry. His ability to adapt and his keen understanding of market needs have enabled him to navigate the competitive landscape effectively. Antonio is committed to building a company culture centered around integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
In addition to his work, Antonio is dedicated to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Outside of his professional endeavors, Enjoys working out and playing sports.. and is actively involved in coaching young adults who participate in youth sports.

Meet Akilah, she was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Syracuse University where she graduated with a bachelors in History & African American Studies and received her Master in Business Administration from Strayer University. Akilah’s journey took an unexpected turn when she discovered her true calling while working on designing rental properties. What started as a creative outlet soon became a profound passion for transforming spaces into livable art.
Akilah’s design philosophy revolves around infusing a modern twist into every project. She believes that design should not only be visually appealing but also enhance the functionality and livability of a space. With a keen eye for detail and a love for contemporary elements, Akilah brings a unique perspective to every project she undertakes.
